1. Where do I place the Kid Tag on my child?
Attach the Kid Tag with the provided safety pin on your child's right shoulder with the Tag My Kid logo facing out.
2. Are the Kid Tags smear-proof?
We have found that certain conditions may affect the clarity of the writing on the Kid Tags. For this reason, we recommend that you check the tag throughout the day to ensure its clarity.
3. Can I use Kid Tags on my young children?
Because of the sharp point and small size of the safety pins used on the Kid Tags, we recommend only using Kid Tags on children over 3 and always with adult supervision. For very young children, please consider Wristbands.
4. Does this assure that my child and I would be reunited if he/she were to get lost?
Tag My Kid assumes no liability for lost children. Our products are not intended to prevent losing a child, but to offer a contact number for reuniting with them as quickly as possible.
5. Should I write my children's name on the identification products?
We recommend that you do not offer any personal information other than a cell phone number on your children. Anyone knowing your child's name or other identifiable information my present themselves as safe to to your child and possibly coax them into harm.
6. Are your products only for young children?
Not necessarily. No one really knows how their child of any age will react in a crisis and whether they will be able to remember their contact information. For this reason, we recommend that older children be given a Kid Tag that can be pinned inside a pocket or waistline of their shorts/pants. This way, the contact number will be there in case it is needed.
